About the Department

Samara University’s Mechanical Engineering department offers a 5-year B.Sc. program in Mechanical Engineering. The department has been focusing on high-quality education and integrated laboratory experience since its start in 2013. Its rigorous and interactive curriculum, as well as hands-on learning, will prepare students for the next step in their careers, whether in professional engineering or graduate study. Mechanical Engineering is a discipline that efficiently ties engineering education to active research in a variety of fields. In its ten laboratories, the department boasts the most up-to-date infrastructure for high-end teaching, research, and development.

We strive to provide our students with the ideal combination of intellectual and practical experiences that will enable them to serve our society and address a wide range of needs. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practice, our undergraduates are prepared to engage in ethical approaches to engineering that are concerned with society and the environment. Our undergraduates program combines academic coursework with research to prepare students for careers in specialized areas of Manufacturing and Automotive Engineering.

The department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty.

Mission

  • To build a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and allied
  • To mould students with good leadership qualities and nurture their entrepreneurship
  • To encourage the students for finding solutions to real engineering world
  • To provide a platform for professional development and lifelong learning along with awareness of social

Vision

To become a centre of excellence in Mechanical Engineering by developing competent engineers with social commitment who are capable of taking on technical responsibilities and innovative challenges.

Department Facilities

The State-of the-art laboratories, containing the latest equipment and machinery have been established to ensure that the students get complete facilities to thoroughly understand and explore the concepts of Mechanical Engineering as learnt in the class room. There is a well- furnished and equipped seminar hall in the main building which caters for the needs of the department such as presentation of mini & main project and similar special programs.

Department Administration
